For small teams

Task management for small teams that run on calls

Share a category with your team, add a call’s action items in one click, assign them, and see teammates’ shared to-dos side by side.

A Mac desktop after the Lumora kickoff: Sam’s Fernhill with Maya Chen’s shared Fernhill under it, Daniel’s Mac with a to-do assigned to him, and the popup with four suggested to-dos.

Before and after

What a three-person team stops doing.

  • Without it: Action items lost after the call
With SwitchDesk: Added in one click, then assigned to Maya
  • Without it: “What’s everyone on?” standups
With SwitchDesk: Teammate columns, side by side
  • Without it: Meetings to show a screen
With SwitchDesk: Maya sends a 3-minute video
  • Without it: Teammates seeing Theo’s dentist appointment
With SwitchDesk: Personal categories stay private

The Lumora kickoff ends with four suggested to-dos.

“Generating to-do items…” runs for a moment, then the popup lists four follow-ups from the call. Nobody is assigned yet.

“Suggest to-dos after a meeting” and “How much to suggest” are in Settings → Meetings.

“Add all”, then the workspace goes to Maya.

The four follow-ups land under Fernhill, which the team shares. Open “Set up the pilot workspace”, find “Assign to teammate” and pick Maya Chen from “Choose…”.

Plan: Both plans

Assigning is a team tool, in both plans. The pointer: animation added for this page.

Your team’s shared to-dos, side by side.

Switch on “Show Team Side by Side” and Maya’s and Daniel’s shared to-dos sit next to yours. Right-click a backlog row and choose “Take & Assign to Me”.

You see the categories a teammate shares, nothing else.

The to-do window side by side: your list on the left, then Daniel Ortiz and Maya Chen's shared to-dos in their own read-only columns. A backlog item in a teammate's column can be taken with “Take & Assign to Me”.

The tools

The three tools a small team shares

The record

What a team pays, and what shipped lately.

Team tools (shared categories, side-by-side columns, assign & take, roles) are in both plans: Essential at $12/mo per person billed yearly, Pro at $18/mo. Each person subscribes on their own for now.

I built SwitchDesk for a small team on a lot of calls.

Share one category, add a call’s follow-ups in one click, and hand them out. The rest of your list stays yours. It’s new, so here’s the changelog instead of logos.

Team questions

More in Help →
Can teammates see my other categories?
No. They see the categories you share and nothing else. In Settings → Teams: “Categories you toggle on are visible to teammates. Untoggled categories stay private.”
Can I share Today?
No. Today and This Week can’t be shared, but a to-do from a shared category stays visible to that team after you pull it into Today or This Week.
Who can share categories?
Team owners and admins.
What happens when someone leaves?
In the app’s words: “You’ll lose access to other members’ to-dos. Your own to-dos stay with you.” Their categories stop being shared.
Do teammates need Macs?
Yes, for now. The iPhone app, which covers the list, is coming soon to the App Store.

Share one category with your team this week.
