Switching from Wispr Flow: questions

More in Help →
Does it type into any app?
Yes. Hold the Globe key 🌐, talk, let go, and the text lands where your cursor is: Mail, Slack, Notes, a browser form or Terminal.
Does it work offline or in other languages?
Not today. SwitchDesk dictation is English only and needs a connection. Offline, Apple’s speech engine takes over only if Siri & Dictation is on and an offline dictation language is installed.
Can I bring my Wispr Flow dictionary?
Not automatically. Add your names and phrases to the Dictionary in Settings → Dictation; a replacement swaps what you say for exact text.
Does AI Polish change my words?
No. It cuts fillers and false starts and fixes formatting, and keeps your wording. Say “never mind” and only the version you restate is kept.
Is there a Windows or Android app?
No. SwitchDesk is a Mac app for macOS 14.6 or later; the iPhone app is coming soon.
Is there a free plan?
No. There’s a 14-day free trial of Pro. After that, Essential is $12/mo billed yearly, or $15 monthly, and dictation is unlimited on both plans.
