Open by voice
Say “Chat,” or triple-tap the Globe key.
It’s the Globe key you already dictate with, so there’s no new shortcut. The Chat window opens over whatever app you’re in.
Hold Globe, then say
Chat, <your message>
“Opens the AI chat window with your message sent — e.g. ‘Chat, draft a reply to my landlord.’ Then keep chatting in the window.”
Or tap three times

Models
Chat with Claude models, included in your plan.
Pick one under “Model” in Settings → Chat. In the app’s words: “The model new chats use. If the server doesn’t have it, the chat falls back to an available one.”
Files & code
Drop in a PDF, a spreadsheet or a screenshot, and ask about it.
- Drag a file onto the window or click the paperclip: images, PDFs, Word, Excel and text. A file can go on its own, with no message.
- Answers keep their shape. Tables render as tables, and code sits in a block with its own “Copy” button.
- The catch: some files reach the model as plain text. Their chip reads “Text extracted”, and formatting and images aren’t included.

Saved chats
Every chat stays in the sidebar, titled and searchable.
- Pinned chats stay on top; the rest fall under Today, Yesterday, Previous 7 Days and Older. Each is titled from your first message and its answer.
- Right-click a chat to “Rename”, “Pin” or “Export…” it as Markdown.
- Search conversations from the magnifying glass at the top of the sidebar.

Hide the chat box, or send what it adds straight to Today.

The “What can I help with?” box at the bottom of the main window. Off hides it on this device only — you can also collapse it with the chevron on the box itself. Dictation and the Chat window still work.
Auto-add to Today’s Todo
Adds a small sun toggle to the chat box. When it’s on, every task you capture is categorized as usual, then moved straight into Today’s Todo. On this device only.
Start switched on
The chat-box toggle’s state each time the app opens. You can still flip it anytime.

Lands in your to-do list
Type a to-do into the chat box, and it’s filed under Personal.
The “What can I help with?” box under your list files whatever you type as a to-do. Type “remind me to renew the car registration friday” and a “Todo added” card confirms it.
